The President of FIEC Kjetil Toning arrives in Sofia to give a kick-start of the Eight Discussion Forum “Construction in 2019 – Prospects and Challenges”. The event is organized by the Bulgarian Construction Chamber (BCC) and the “Stroitel” newspaper. The conference will take place on September 26-th at 9.00 am in Sofia Hotel Balkan. The forum will be hosted by Mr. Ilian Terziev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BCC. He will announce its start with Kjetil Toning and the Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev.
The Mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova is expected to take part in the Forum to inform the participants about the progress related to the implementation of the Sofia Municipality Investment Programme and the forthcoming key projects for the city.
Traditionally, the conference will bring together state institutions representatives, municipal authorities and businesses in order to build a constructive dialogue on the issues of the industry, the prospects and opportunities in 2019 and until the end of the 2014-2020 programming period as well as the expected challenges whose overcoming can be sought with combined efforts. The main topics of the event will be the major projects under the operational programmes in the field of transport, environment, regional development, which will be implemented in the forthcoming years. They will be presented in two panels of line ministers and deputy ministers, heads of the Managing Authorities of the EU programmes, executive directors and chairpersons of the Managing Boards of state agencies and structures. This year the Forum will also include a new Road Safety Panel, whose participants in the conference will discuss the topic as well as the latest European and world tendencies related to road safety.
