BCC and „Stroitel” Newspaper have opened sixth exhibition

The exposition is held on the occasion of the Day of Builder, with the support of the Sofia Municipality

The sixth photography exhibition „See Sofia – we are changing it together“ was opened by the Chairman of the Management Board of BCC – Eng. Iliyan Terziev and Doncho Barbalov, the Deputy Mayor of Sofia Municipality. Eng. Terziev shared with the guests of the event that the initiative to organise this exhibition had been launched six years ago jointly with the Mayor Yordanka Fandakova. „At that time we hardly expected that it will find such a great response, not only within the construction sector, but also among the citizens of the capital. We hope this initiative will continue in the future, and will provide us with the possibility to demonstrate the achievements of Bulgarian builders, and to show what is happening in Sofia and how fast it is changing”, the Chairman of the BCC’s MB said. He explained that the exhibits cover the full spectrum of construction – metro, repaired streets and boulevards, new buildings, renovated squares, schools and kindergartens rehabilitated under the energy renovation programme. Eng. Tersziev pointed out that exhibition includes projects, implemented both with public and private investments. „It was not easy to make the choice – from over than 100 projects we selected 60, which you can see on the panels. We attempted to demonstrate the best from what we have done within this year. Every self-respecting builder puts his soul in what he makes. In each one of the exhibits are put in the soul and the heart of constructors”, emphasized Eng. Terziev. The Deputy mayor Doncho Barbalov thanked BCC and „Stroitel” Newspaper for realisation of the exhibition. „We can see wonderful new and renovated buildings, production premises, parks. In the On the eve of their holiday – Dimitrovden, we should render the builders their due. I hope that this initiative will be continued, in order everyone to be able to see what is happening in our town and to know that it results from the hard work of the municipality and the constructors“, said Mr. Barbalov and pointed out that the exposition would extend up to the Soria Ring Road if photographs of all projects, implemented by the constructors during the years were exposed. The exhibition „See Sofia – we are changing it together“ is organised by the Bulgarian Construction Chamber (BCC) and „Stroitel“ Newspaper, with the support of the Sofia Municipality. It is traditionally dedicated to Dimitrovden - the Day of the Builder. The exhibition consists of 60 panels with photographs, whose authors are members of the team of „Stroitel“ Newspaper as well as aerial photos taken by quadcopter (drone) of remarkable buildings, built in the capital city. The citizens and guests of Sofia will have the chance to see, until 2nd November inclusive, how the town Is changing thanks to the realisation of different construction projects and due to the preservation of the cultural and historic heritage. For another year the 60 panels present a number of renovated streets and boulevards, kindergartens and schools – beneficiaries of the Energy renovation programme, the metro of Sofia, new buildings, floral mosaics, newly constructed and rehabilitated parks and recreation areas, temples and other beautiful sites in Sofia. The exhibition is realised with the support of „Geo­stroy” AD, „G.P. Group” JSC, „Glavbolgarstroy Holding” AD, „Pipe System” AD and „Katra Group” EOOD.
