Bulgarian Construction Chamber handed over the construction's „Oscars” for 2018

The Bulgarian Construction Chamber (BCC) handed over the awards to the best companies in the sector for 2018. This happened at the traditional Ball on the occasion of Builder’s day – 26th October. The event was held in the National Palace of Culture – Hall 3. Hosts of this ceremony were the minister of Regional Development and Public Works Petya Avramova and the Chairman of the Management Board of Bulgarian Construction Chamber (MB of BCC) Eng. Iliyan Terziev. „In the past times, along with the beginning of winter used to come the end of the active season for building works. Nowadays the situation is different, digitalization and new technologies allow constructors to continue their work even during the winter months, stated at the opening of the ceremony Eng. Iliyan Terziev. He added that at the end of October the constructors estimate and assess what has been achieved during the year and set their new goals. „In 2019 we, together, did a lot, we bridged over challenges and now we go ahead. We proved that when the ambitions are clearly formulated, when we stay united and are convinced about the upheld causes, we are able to endorse transparent regulations within the sector“, pointed out the Chairman of the MB of BCC. Eng. Iliyan Terziev stated that this was the sixth year that BCC and „Stroitel“ Newspaper, with the support of Sofia Municipality, organise the exhibition on the occasion of the Builder's day, thus providing the opportunity for the achievement of construction companies to be seen. In turn, the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works and co-host of the event, Petya Avramova, said that 2019 would be remembered as an year, successful for the industry. She added that growth was reported in all types of construction activities despite the negative economic signs, emerging abroad. Minister Avramova emphasized that in 2020 there are again grounds to be optimistic about the construction sector in our country. Other official guests at the event were the Deputy Prime Minister Mariyana Nikolova, the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Rossen Jeliazkov, the Minister of Environment and Water Neno Dimov, the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Valentin Yovev, the Chair of the MB of Road Infrastructure Agency Georgi Terziisky, the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Energy Committee Valentin Nikolov, Evgeniy Ivanov – Executive Director of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria, members of Parliament, heads of state agencies and institutions, representatives of leaderships of organisations in the branch, managers of leading construction companies, etc.
