BCC and BWA will work together in the water sector

The managements of the Bulgarian Construction Chamber and the Bulgarian Water Association have met and outlined specific initiatives for partnerships

The Bulgarian Construction Chamber (BCC) and the Bulgarian Water Association (BWA) will actively cooperate and will seek together solutions to problems in the water sector. This was agreed at the first working meeting between the BCC Chairman Eng. Svetoslav Glosov and the new Chairman of BWA Eng. Ivan Ivanov. The meeting was also attended by BCC Deputy Chairman Venelin Terziev, Executive Director Eng. Ivan Boykov and BAW Deputy Chairman Blagoy Kozarev. Accent in the talks was put on problems in the water sector. By the end of this programming period should be built 100 wastewater treatment plants, but until now there is delay in the preparation and implementation of many projects. “We should deepen our cooperation because most of your members are part of the Chamber and vice versa,” said Eng. Svetoslav Glosov. We remind that Deputy Chairman of the Water Association Eng. Blagoy Kozarev is Deputy Chairman of the BCC Regional Office – Sofia. The two organizations will jointly work to change legislation. “BCC is a successful organization and we should learn from it how to develop,” said Eng. Ivan Ivanov. “I have to emphasize the key role of “Stroitel” newspaper as voice of the Bulgarian construction industry,” he said and pointed out that in the future construction of water infrastructure, treatment plants and the water theme in general will become increasingly important. Eng. Ivanov expressed his hope that problems of the water sector will take up more space on the pages of “Stroitel” newspaper.
