Bulgaria has absorbed or is in a process of absorption of 75% of all financial resources under the seven operational programs. This shows that we have made significant progress towards the objectives and priorities of the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) and the contribution of the operational programs to them over the past 17 months. The conclusion was made by the Minister of EU Funds Management Tomislav Donchev who explained that behind these 75% stay BGN 11.8 billion. Domestic payments in the country are nearly 25%, and the reimbursed funds by the European Commission - 16%, without taking into account advance payments. “The marked increase is a fact, but we must do even better mobilization because we have another year and a half period to negotiate the remaining quarter and we have nearly two years and a half time to pay whatever is agreed,” said Tomislav Donchev during the public disclosure of results and progress on the goals and priorities of NSRF and OP contribution to them. The review of current performance on the seven operational programs shows that at 30 April 2012 Bulgaria has doubled the growth of paid and contracted funds against the period to 2010.
