St. Dimitar – the great ruler

The question is why should a man who had everything cause ruin in his life and death? The answer is simple – because since childhood he had learnt something that we have forgotten – that man lives forever. And that no ruler on earth stands above God and should obey Him. And the greatest interest to people is to know and love Christ. And we should not be afraid of the death of the body but of the soul. In this life everyone is doomed as Saint Dimitar to death. The death to God however is real life in eternal joy. Yes, St. Dimitar lost the wished by us power and wealth but found something much more – life with the very source of love – God. And in people’s hearts he remained as an image of the most desired ruler. And in countless hard situations night and day millions of people say his name in hope that he again, as before, will help them.
